Little Hearts Matter

Little Hearts Matter Charity offer support and advice for the 600 parents whose babies are born with a heart defect each year in the UK. This particular charity is very close to RBA Wealth Management’s heart for a very special reason.

Angela Fountains daughter Ruby has a condition called single ventricle heart disease which means in she only has half a working heart. The condition was diagnosed 18-weeks into her mum Angela's pregnancy.

Angela said, "Without the amazing support of Little Hearts Matter, it isn't certain that Ruby would even be with us today.

The support and advice they have given us has been worth so much. They gave us a filofax full of information about how the condition worked, surgical options and how Ruby’s life would be. They were a big help for us."

Little Hearts Matter rely completely on donations from members of the public and businesses.

The charity offers support and information, and raises awareness of those affected when a child has only half a heart. With the help of St. James's Place Foundation, RBA Wealth Management has donated £2500 to the charity.

Suzie Hutchinson, chief executive, said, "We work with families who have children who are going to be born with half a heart and try and take a lot of the mystique out of the information given by the hospital. The money we have received helps us enormously and we are very grateful for the donation."
